a woman of violent temper and speech; termagant.
The nickname "Sru" was first given to me by my 7th grade math teacher as a shortened version of my last name. He laughed when he said it obviously proud of the irony considering I was a loud, feisty, and, at times, disagreeable pre-teen. My mom also thought this was hilarious. She immediately had me watch Taming of the Shrew (the one starring Elizabeth Taylor). I loved the outcome of the movie, so I gladly embraced my new nickname.
This really has nothing to do with what I plan to post; just some background on who I am. I like to pretend that feisty, crazy side is gone, but really I have only channeled it into many arts - baking, cooking, crafts, cake decorating, rhinestoning (bedazzling if you will) - you name it.
I'm a kinesthetic learner, so I learn by doing. I can usually look at something and figure out in a matter of seconds if I am able to complete it. I may screw it up one or twelve times, but it's the ultimate, "Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right," reality.
